Apparently I haven’t blogged in about 6 months. I don’t really have a good excuse, but I do regret it.
But while I’ve been away, I’ve been ultra busy. My last day of work is June 29, meaning I’ll have the whole month of July open for projects and travel! Yay!
But the majority of our time has been taken up by our health initiative.
That’s right, we were tired of being fat. Somewhere between hating my job and loving food, I’d ballooned out of control. So the day after a particularly indulgent St. Patrick’s Day, we decided to overhaul our diet and activity level dramatically. It’s worked pretty well so far.

I don’t hate looking at myself in the mirror anymore, which unfortunately, has made me horribly vain. Please bear with me while I get used to being smaller again.
And we’re not done. 30 lbs down, 20 more to go. That’ll put me at my target weight for my height. If I don’t reach it, it’s not a big deal. As long as I can accomplish my fitness goals and stay healthy, weight is just a number.
